Events & News

  • In June 2022, the WMO Executive Council (EC-75, Resolution 4) gave a "green light" to developing a concept for a global Greenhouse Gas monitoring architecture.
  • In May 2023, the 19th World Meteorological Congress (Cg-19, Resolution 5) intergovernmental agreement APPROVED G3W Concept Note and proceeded with development.
  • In April 2024, INFCOM-3 (Recommendation 3) endorsed G3W plan & governance to be presented to WMO Executive Council.
  • In June 2024, WMO EC-78 (Resolution 3) approved the full G3W Implementation Plan. G3W implementation BEGINS!
